This was built by Chris, Nadeya and Aiden and forms part of their private collection.
Where is the Shrieking Shack?
In Hogsmeade Village.
Why don’t you add a Quidditch match?
There is no ball small enough to get through the hoop. 😉
Adding mini-figures would require a much larger scale castle. This particular build focuses on the landscape, including the vast forest area surrounding Hogwarts.
How long did it take you to build?
Approximately 6 months.
How many blocks did you use?
Best guess: 50 000 – 80 000.
Can I buy this as a set?
No. While the front left part is available as a set from LEGO™, the rest of the landscape is a custom build.
How do you transport it?
The build comes apart into a number of sections, which are boxed separately.
Do you have a separate room in your house to display this?
This build is kept in storage.
It has previously been displayed at the jhbLUG Mini Brickfair, held at Care for Education on 30 October, 2021 and at the Arnold Classic from 4 – 5 June 2022.
